Belonging to yourSelf

Who or what do you belong to?
Do you belong to your job, your family, your social status, your church, your kids, spouse, friends?
Do you belong to the past, the future, a dream not yet lived? Do you belong to an ideal or belief that is no longer valid, valuable or valued?
Do you belong to a clan or tribe that is soulful, helpful and suportive? Do you belong to a role or outmoded belief in yourself?
To live your life heart and soul inspired requires certain tasks of yourself.  One of which is to ask yourself these questions and become conscious of who and what you "belong to."

We oftentimes do not realize how our time, energy, values, sense of self, self worth, getting our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs met belongs to someone or something else. We may not realize this until we become drained or ill, or disillusioned. We might not even realize it until that which we belonged to rejects us.
The journey home to belonging to ourselves is the foundation of a life soul-fully and heartfully lived.
Belonging to yourself is sacred work. It requires you stand on holy ground as the carrier of your own light.
Belonging to yourself takes holy selfishness. It takes a certain kind of self confidence that is born of your own inner light and self awareness.
Breath in this sentence "I belong to myself and stand fully in my own light." How does that feel to you? Do you believe it? Does it frighten you? Does it wake up insecurities or does it make you feel strong and capable?
There are no right or wrong answers here. Simply insight and inspiration. To fully belong to ourselves   is the key to living a life of fulfillment and joy. When we belong to ourselves we make choices that benefit us, heal us, and thus benefit and heal those we love.
Doesn't it feel good to consider belonging to oneself?
I support you in this most sacred and holy endeavor!!!

Love,
Mary
