Each day can be a sacred and holy time, yet there is something about this time that calls us to go inward and connect to our inner sacred and holy place. I believe it to be the outer darkness, the slow movement and the stillness that is the animal and plant kingdoms time of rest. Nature is all around us, and within us, and we are being beckoned to follow it's call. What is holy and sacred about going within? It is where you meet your heart and soul and your true longings. It is where outer longings are soothed and you connect with the everlasting stillness that is your Soul. Your inner wisdom, lives within. Your Soul and Heart speak to you from within. This is a time when we are privy to instant information about everything under the sun and opinions about it all, too. Millions of people, spreading information and a split second for us to receive it. Let's find our boundaries, shall we? Finding our voices require we go within, be in silence for awhile, listen for our inner voice first. What does he/she sound like? What is he/she saying? How can we know what it is we truly think, feel or need if we can't hear, or do not take the most important time-out to listen to our inner voice. Let's take time to commune with our soul, shall we? I do take liberty in claiming this to be true. I also take it upon myself to inspire you to keep on going! Take the time to count your blessings and to choose a "higher Love". Hello Fellow Travelers, What can one person do? What can a group of people do? What can we do in the face of adversity, challenges and the outright daily atrocities that are occurring both for us personally and to our fellow travelers? We can take action, help, give whatever you can. Giving prayers, sending money, going to help, holding vigil and most of all, taking care of yourself and your loved ones. I am learning that this is not easy for some. Those who have so much and maybe have not been touched by disasters, traumas or life's many and varied challenges, are not always quick to help. Judgments, opinions, scarcity mentality, or fear are stopping some and then they are lost in their own inner turmoil of arrogance and greed as their fellow humans suffer. Each time I take a look at the weather reports regarding hurricane activity, (which is not often), I feel like I am on a roller coaster ride, merry-go-round and sea worthy vessel, all at once. Hello Fellow Travelers, Summer is coming. Summer brings sunshine, flowers, warmth, connection, outdoor activities, and did I say flowers? Summer brings a succession of days where there is less structure and more wild abandon. Summer brings the opportunity to grow a garden, and be a witness to nature's bounty.
