Nourish yourself

Slowing down, letting go and taking your time are all ways to live a less stressful, more joyful life. Yet even with the dangling carrot of those  positive outcomes, it may still be difficult to slow down, let go and take our time.
Let's add another piece to this delicious pie of "life". This week it's time to add nourishment. I love that word nourishment. To nourish is to feed, give, receive, to promote growth and development. Nourishment lends itself to balance and wholeness.
Nourishment is a form of loving oneself. Participating in nourishing activities, conversations, environments truly promotes self love and the love of those around us.
Slowing down, letting go and taking our time are all ways to nourish ourselves. Slowing down and taking our time allows for a calming of our system~ ahh delicious nourishment. Letting go is like a nourishing bath or swim. Letting go adds nourishment to places within us that may have held firm to old outdated hurts or pain.
Nourishment is personal and comes in many forms. What really nourishes your body? What really nourishes your mind? What really nourishes your soul? The way to find out is to ask yourself as you go about your daily routines.
Is this nourishing to me? Listen for that voice of your wise self. Take note.
Nourishment may be something you take for granted, yet it is an incredible piece to add to your spiritual practice. To nourish and receive nourishment opens your energy to abundance, peace and joy.  Being aware of how we nourish ourselves and receive nourishment opens us up to more of the same.
As you invite in nourishment this week, take time to feel the subtle joy within your body and your mind. Feel the subtle joy pulse through your being as you drink in a nourishing sunset or sunrise, eat a warm peach, or gaze upon a loved ones face. Your whole being will say "yes" when you are nourishing yourself. The whole Universe will then conspire on your behalf to bring you more of that which nourishes you.
There are a billion different ways for you to receive nourishment and give this precious gift to yourself. Don't hold back, nourish yourself!

Have a blessed week.
Mary
