Celebrate Independence Day

Hello Beautiful Fellow Travelers!
Let's celebrate Independence Day as the spiritual beings in this incredibly diverse human experience that we truly are.
We are independent and sovereign beings of spiritual decent. Sometimes it feels as if we are bound by all kinds of external circumstances as well as internal negative thoughts. Yet the truth is we are always free in the moment to choose another way or another thought.
Thanks to my son Tom, I was reminded of this powerful parable. It is a simple, yet profound story of how to be free, independent and sovereign, no matter what may be going on in our lives at this time. It is worth sharing with all of you beautiful beings of light and love on this Independence Day.
An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...

"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.

"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
"Which wolf will win?"

The old chief simply replied,
"The one you feed."

(possibly a Cherokee parable, and going back probably at least to the 1950's in print - but is not able to be confirmed)

Feed yourself well and pass on the messages for you never know who may need to hear what it is you have to share!
