Hello Fellow Travelers,
Summer is my all-time favorite season. I decided if I had to choose a favorite, this is it. I do enjoy all the seasons, for different reasons, but here in the northern hemisphere, we are in full summer bloom.
Summer just seems so alive, ripe and rich with gifts. My garden is starting to bear veggies and my flowers are blooming. The sunflowers greet me each morning and I am blessed to have their bright yellow smiles adorning my home and Heart of Gaia. I am surrounded by the abundance of wild life doing its thing!
Amidst all of this action, there are sacred messages, healings, insights and blessings galore.
Summer is my all-time favorite, particularly this year and for a simple reason. Amidst the rather intense, loud, glaring crisis and turmoil that feels as if it is relentless, there is reprieve.
Amidst the fall-out from the pain provoking, stunningly mortifying choices that some of our fellow human beings are making at this time, and our own personal reactions and experiences of fear, pain or trauma there is the momentary reprieve of the warm sun.
Summer is my favorite season, right now because in my world, nothing soothes a weary, bone tired, grief laden world like the innocent beauty of nature.
Nothing feeds a starving soul as simply and fully as the connection that is possible in the moments one sits amidst a garden, under a tree or just gazes out a window and happens to see the colors swirling in the sky reflecting the setting sun.
These opportunities are abundant at this time, and desperately needed.
The human experience is full of heartache, sorrow and loss, yet it is also full of beauty, joy and love. Both exist within us and both are loud right now, vying for our attention. Do not hesitate to go into the dark places, for they too are full of life, for the dark places hold secrets and messages just as the light places, yet when you emerge, remember to fill your soul up with the simple beauty of nature.
This week, may you find solace in the momentary beauty of the natural world.
Have a bountiful, blessed week.
Mary
