"Your intuitive mind is a gift!"

Hello Fellow Travelers,
This week begins a course of study offered here at Heart of Gaia Creative Healing Arts that will assist in delving into a deeper connection with " true self ". Some of you will be here in person and for those of you unable to join, this writing will keep you delving, right along with us!
"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind it's faithful servant." This quote is attributed to the great scientist Albert Einstein
What is our intuitive mind and what makes it sacred?
Our intuitive mind is often referred to as our "right brain" or our receptive aspect. This part of us is greatly enhanced by the qualities of being still, quiet, and turning our attention inward. It takes it's cues from feelings. The information comes as a knowing or a wisdom. The intuitive mind requires peace and also instills peace. The intuitive mind is connected with the timeless aspect of ourselves, our center and our core. That is what makes it sacred. It does not need an explanation or a reason to know what it knows. This is the part of our minds that is able to access creative flashes of inspiration, make music, bring forth a new idea, connect with others via thoughts or feelings, tap into the collective whole, and simply BE.
In today's fast pace world we can easily override our intuitive mind, as it's way is less demanding or outer directed than our rational mind.
"We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." This is the second part to the above quote attributed to Albert Einstein
How can we get back to honoring the gift of our intuitive mind? I suggest using it. Try it out. Be still and quiet. Take yourself on an imagination journey, daydream, meditate, pray, feel, listen and just let your intuition flow. Intuition likes to be listened to and as you do so, it becomes stronger. Like a muscle that is used often, your intuition will fourish and support you, when you give it the honor and sacred seat it deserves.
I wish you all a sacredly inspired, intuitive week.
Mary
