Holy No!

Hello Fellow Travelers, 

Being inspired to live a life true to your heart and soul is not an easy task. It requires many, many NO's.

It requires, the Holy NO.

Now, I don't like no's. A'fterall no's are negative and I love the positive in life. Don't we all? 

And, yes, we need the negative as well as the positive. Balance, yin/yang, in-put, out-put, positive and negative ions...Life is full of yes/no, positive, negative.

Yet, it occured to me that many of the the No's, I have painstakenly uttered are truly Holy. 

Holy No's are different. There is not necessarily a balance with Holy No's.  It is a direct and constant NO. Holy No's are sometimes easy to say and sometimes not.

They are the No's we must utter or shout out to ourselves, others and the world. 

The Holy No, is found in the deepest recesses of our being. 

It is the cultivated No. Cultivated by our Spirit and Essence in communion with our human self. 

The Holy No, is anti cultural. Especially for those of us, women, in particular, who are taught to say yes, all the time, except maybe when our own pleasure, our own minds, our own hearts, our own livelihood, our own dreams, our own bodies, our own desires are at stake. 

The Holy No changes everything. It takes your ordinary life and makes it divinely extraordinary. 

The Holy No gives you Sacred Power. 

The Holy No connects you with a tribe of other's who have learned that No is a Holy word and the more we use it, the more our inner spirits jump for JOY.

Living a sacredly inspired life requires many, no's. They are not only necessary, but they are so very loving and required for our soul's to grow, our heart's to sing and our lives to flourish. 

Holy no's are the no's we must say to protect ourselves, to ensure our safety, to claim our space, and to love ourselves fully. 

Sometimes Holy No's must be said only to ourselves, in the privacy of our own mind and heart. It is still Holy and sitll No. 

Holy no's are found in the way we care for ourselves. Holy no's are the no's we give ourselves when we find we are engaging in negative self talk, straying from our truth, forgetting to put ourselves and our needs first, and when we are drawn into the seduction of the not-so-good-for-us yes's.

I have said NO so many times, and always the No's have been because to say yes would would negate my self. 

Holy No's lead to Loving Yes's. Yin/Yang of Yes and No. 

The Holy No is very personal and so very, very necessary. No one can tell you what to say yes to and what to say no to. You can ask a trusted friend or spiritual advisor. Sometmes we need a lot of help in discerning when a Holy No is in order, because the Holy No does not always feel good. It is oftentimes incredibly painful, yet we can be assured that to utter a Holy No, will always lead to the your greatest good.

No's are Holy even when and most especially when other's do not want to hear them, or do not agree. Holy No's are holy no matter what. Because you are Holy. 

It takes courage, resilience, empathy, compassion and grace to use Holy No's often. And using Holy No's gives you more courage, resilience, empathy, compassion and grace. 

That is why they are Holy!

Do not be shy in expressing your Holy No's. They build spiritual muscle, they build self-respect, self-appreciation and align your life right up with your heart, soul, body, mind and spirit. 

Use your gift of Holy No this week.
