Capricorn Winter Message

 

Hello Dear Ones, Mercury went retrograde in the sign of Capricorn. December 29-January 19, 2023. So I thought I would drop in and share what the cosmos are saying! Have the urge to slow down? Turn within? When planets go retrograde, they don't actually stop and go backwards. They appear to stop because of our vantage point on Earth. Think of how, even when we sleep, our bodies are still busy. Even in the depths of winter, energy has gathered and is building underneath the surface, inside the trees, the roots, and the bulbs.  With Mercury retrograde in the sign of Capricorn, until January 19, 2023, you have the opportunity to slow down, wait, stop and re-group, re-organize, re-commit, and yes, rest. Capricorn knows the power of the "one step at a time", the slowing down, and the pregnant pause. Use this time to your advantage and you will be very glad you did. Our social calendars aren't always in alignment with the energy of our bodies, the seasons, the cosmos. Our bodies are in alignment with the seasons, and the cosmos. Our bodies often reject the social calendars and the agendas of systems created to build structures that are not supportive of your system! Listen to your body. Now is the time to tune in and ask yourself what might you really want to do with your time? Capricorn is as productive napping as it is doing the budget. Take your time and do whatever you decide to do with intention. Each year I resist the whole New Year Resolution thing. I love a good goal, focus, and intention, yet I find that in order for true change to happen, there must be a true goal of the heart and alignment with your body, mind and spirit to support said goals. In order to do so a time of resting and turning within is required. A time to re-group. What am I wanting and needing now? Where might I wish to quest? Anything worth setting a goal for, intending, or focusing on, is found by getting quite, still and taking the time to gently coax, rather than razzle-dazzle it out of you. The Mercury retrograde in Capricorn is inquiring. It is asking you to be sure you are asking yourself the right questions.  Mercury is the messenger and the communicator planet. Capricorn will think long and hard about answers, and questions. Don't waste your time with questions and answers and communications that will not get you where you truly want to go. What are the right questions to ask yourself so that you may be living a life aligned with your most wise self? There is no hurry. Three planets are in retrograde. The start to the new year ahead is slow, easy, and necessarily so. There is an undercurrent of wanting to move quickly. I believe it is because collectively we really didn't like having to go through the last three years. We would just as soon go through it all as quick as possible. But the energy lingers. Things are different.  The Universal rhythms are providing you with some much needed time to slow down, take stock and take inventory. Capricorn never forgets the hard work it took to get to this point. It does not like to overlook the hard times, for in the most difficult passages is when we find our most valuable strengths. Capricorn energy is realistic and will wait for the finest experiences. It will not settle for quick and easy. It wants the real thing. Integration is necessary.
