Practice radical compassion.
To help navigate this week, I offer you the practice of radical compassion. Great saints and sages throughout time have spoken highly of the value of compassion. To practice radical compassion is to add warmth, love, tenderness, care, concern, solicitude, tolerance and kindness to your thoughts, words and deeds. Often. Daily. Moment to moment.
When practicing radical compassion is it wise to first apply it to yourself. What situations or life experiences have weighed heavily on you? What suffering and misfortunes have you experienced? What situations or life experiences have you changed, made different, healed through or come through? Give yourself ample credit by offering yourself compassion. Practice radical compassion when you would tend to turn in on yourself, judge, complain or negate. Instead, offer the soothing balm of kindness. A smile will do.
During this time of great change, it is a wise person indeed who chooses to radically practice compassion. The simple and effective art of practicing compassion will make the most solidly locked in anger and rage dissipate, it will help ease suffering and give you hope.
Practicing compassion could break the vice grip of hate and allow love to release into the softening.
Practicing compassion is radical. If it is important to you feel, to heal, to grow, to learn, to understand and to live in harmony, then compassion is your mainstay.
This week is a perfect time, a needed time and about time, for a great big expansive energy of compassion to be released from your heart out into the world. It will return. Ten fold.
Have a blessed week!
Mary
