More from June
| Dearest Fellow Travelers, Energies are swirling. Second week into June. The in-between time is still upon us. Many have come to their limits of what is and have chosen change. Life is movement and change. Movement and change cycles high and low, wide and varied. Change that is unexpected, occurs daily. One such reaction when unexpected change is occurring is to fight against the uncomfortable and presume. Presume to know. Presumptions run high when human's are faced with tragedy and crisis and change. Presuming to know how another felt, or dealt, is the real tragedy. Presuming that you know what is true for another, or the presumption that another knows best for you, is servitude to fear and a breeding ground for ignorance. Presumptions are a distraction from the healing medicine that can be extracted from tragedy, crisis, change and facing limits. The presumptions lie in the quest for why, and from these presumptions come judgment, shame, blame and a whole lot of wasteful nonsense, taking our focus away from the medicine, so necessary for these times, and doing harm to ourselves and others. The changes of this proportion will continue as we grow and evolve into living out loud, with great passion, our most creative, authentic selves. Some choose to leave, some stay and either way, it is all an evolution and a coming home. Instead of presumptions, what if we sat with ourselves in the deeply disturbing, painful and fearful? Yes, this requires a safe and secure place in which to do so. It also requires you to sit in the belly of the beast, or the womb-cave as I have aptly named this healing sanctuary. In the dark and fertile grounds of our deepest fears and losses is the passageway into the realms of healing love. Inside our greatest pain is a portal of transformation. "The other day I was talking about meeting our edge and our desire to grab on to something when we reach our limits. Then we see that there's more loving-kindness, more respect for ourselves, more confidence that needs to be nurtured. We work on that and we just keep leaping." Pema Chodron May you place yourself outside of presumptions grip and into the healing womb-cave as often as possible and as much as necessary. May you then find your Self there, apply loving kindness and respect for your own path. May you be swirling in this medicine. Peace, Mary |
