Nourish yourself

Image
Slowing down, letting go and taking your time are all ways to live a less stressful, more joyful life. Yet even with the dangling carrot of those  positive outcomes, it may still be difficult to slow down, let go and take our time. Let's add another piece to this delicious pie of "life". This week it's time to add nourishment. I love that word nourishment. To nourish is to feed, give, receive, to promote growth and development. Nourishment lends itself to balance and wholeness. Nourishment is a form of loving oneself. Participating in nourishing activities, conversations, environments truly promotes self love and the love of those around us. Slowing down, letting go and taking our time are all ways to nourish ourselves. Slowing down and taking our time allows for a calming of our system~ ahh delicious nourishment. Letting go is like a nourishing bath or swim. Letting go adds nourishment to places within us that may have held firm to old outdated hur...

taking your time

Image
Hello Fellow Travelers, Letting go has been the theme of the last two weeks messages. This week's message expands upon this theme, bringing up the much needed message of "taking our time." As we travel along, doing our thing, growing our soul,(aka facing life's challenges)  letting go of limiting beliefs or patterns that no longer serve us, it is important to remember that this soul growth takes time. Lifetimes, really. That is not to say that we won't accomplish some amazing feats, clear out some deep crap and live a more liberated life this time around, yet it is so very important to remember that when we are on the path of self actualization and growth, it will take as long as it needs to. It helps to always remember that our inner wise Self is leading this show. It is imperative to stay connected to our highest selves (our core, Spirit, Essence, Soul) so that when our ego wants to rush things through, we can find that inner resolve to sink de...

Letting go...

Image
Hello Fellow Travelers, The message for the week is letting go. Letting go is a spiritual practice that allows for the completion of that which is no longer necessary in our lives. Letting go is similar to the spiritual quality of surrender, yet it is not about giving up in defeat. It is about giving up that which we can no longer wish to carry. The energy we can no longer carry is any energy which is hindering us in some way. Usually hindering our joy, creativity, and authentic expression. The need to let ...

Full Moon is today! This is a bright full moon and a good time to celebrate and dedicate your life to living as your true authentic self. Celebrate how you already are caring for yourself, and living true to what you know is important and what you believe in. The journey is always about finding who you truly are and living out the expression of this truth. How can you be more true to yourself? Dedicate this month to finding ways to do so and taking action on those ways. The energy of this moon is greatly supportive of your inner light, pushing you to be all you can be as you shine bright. It is also supportive in that you may feel especially magnetic and draw to you perfect opportunities to express your heart and soul. As you connect with the core of who you are (love and light) and express this in simple and creative ways, you will be brought to a higher level of understanding of this amazing life you are living. May you be showered with blessings! And have some fun ho...

new moon, turning in, connect with Source

Image
Hello Fellow Travelers, Did you enjoy your week? I hope so! Here we are coming into a new week with a dark moon. You may feel the energy of this dark new moon calling you to gather your self and retreat inward. A new moon is a time to draw our otherwise outwardly focused energies into our core and just sit with the energy of our inner selves for awhile. What do you hear? What do you see? This aspect of yourself that you connect with as you turn inward is the eternal aspect of yourself. It is your soul. How well do you know this aspect of you? This aspect of you is timeless. It is the center of your being. Still, alert, watching. It is often called "the witness". Like a wise Grand-Mother, this aspect watches the antics of your outer self. The dramas play out, the emotions flare, the battles are won or lost. Always this aspect watches and if you connect with the timeless aspect of your being, you will find yourself watching. You will come to understand ...

Pay attention to signs and messages

Image
Hello Fellow Travelers, Pay special attention this week to signs and messages. At all times we are being given signs and messages, yet we do not always see these signs or pay attention to the messages. I urge you to do so this week. Pay attention to how the Universe communicates with you and be open to receive the messages. There are many, many ways that you are given signs and messages as well as an endless array of delivery styles. Remember that what and how you receive are unique to you. Pay attention to what come to you in day to day life. You will receive messages and signs through lyrics of a song, a poem, a book you are reading, through various aspects of nature, animals, trees, the sky or through friends or strangers. you may receive messages through a sudden thought or feeling. Messages and signs can come through your nighttime dreams, or during prayer and meditation also.  If you are confused about a sign, ask for clarity. You will get it. Messages and...

Hello Fellow Travelers, Happy and Joyous Monday to all of you. After a week of recharging your batteries how do you feel? Making these commitments to ourselves to turn within, take care of our energy, re-charge and otherwise do deep self care, requires great courage. Yes, the Universe will rise up to support us, AND what also usually happens is that whatsoever does not support us will rise up too! Making a commitment to oneself to change, allow, grow, heal or self care will bring up in us those ideas, beliefs, issues that hold us back from doing this very thing we commit to. This is not the Universe, or the Divine's idea of a bad joke, although it may feel like it at times! It is a way to guide us towards what is still needing to heal, or how to bolster our selves. It is a learning and teaching that can greatly assist us. This phenomenon is reminiscent of the tale of the two wolves. It goes like this ~ An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life. ...
